My Reflection
I have been learning to  write narrative. a narrative is a story that is not real.
I really enjoyed working out the characters and making the story really good next time and
some thing I found challenging was the planning and it was hard to write it and spell the words.
my next steep is to make it longer and make the story better and learn more about a narrative and work harder next time.

Moment in Time

I have been learning write about a moment in time.
I found this hard because I did not know what to write.
Something I could do to improve my writing is learn more about moment in time.
My next step is to ask for help when I need It.

Information Report

My Reflection
i have been learning to write an information report.  I found this hard because I didn't know a lot about it.  My next step is to find more information using books and the internet.

Making and Justifying Inferences

my reflection

I am learning to make and justify inference.  It was tricky because I wasn't sure what to do but then Mrs Melville helped me.  My next step is to try it on my own next time and ask if I need help. 

 

My Speech 2019

My Reflection
I have been learning to write a persuasive speech.
I found this challenging because it was hard to write. Something i learnt was how to write nice and neat.  I felt good after i did it.
my next steep is to add more facts to my speech.

Using the <, > and = maths signs yeet

I was learning to use the correct maths signs.
I was able to put the correct signs in between the numbers.
I found it a little hard because I had to do some addition to work out which number was bigger.
Next time I would like to do this on my own without the teachers help.

Making Inferences

My Reflection
I have been learning to make inences i found clues in the book to he lp me answer the que stians .I a bit hard  my next step is to keep practising finding in ences because this will hellp me understand the story better.

Reading a Ruler

i find it hard because you had to type the words and I wasn't sure how to read the ruler.  My next step it to learn how to read a ruler.

Contractions

My Reflection

I have been learning to recognise contractions when I read.  A contraction is a word that is made shorter by using an apostrophe.  I found this hard because I couldn't find the contractions very easily and this is the first time I have learnt about them.  My next step is to learn more contractions to help me when I read.

Show Understanding of the Story.

My Reflection

I was learning to show my understanding of the story.  I found this a bit easy because I read the story and understood what was happening.  My next step is to answer harder questions about stories.  

Identifying Parts of a Graph

My Reflection

I have been learning to identify parts of a graph.  I found this hard because I wasn't sure where the labels went but Mrs Melville helped me.  My next step is to make my own bar graph.

Chunking Sounds

My Reflection
I have been learning to sound out words I don;t know by chunking the sounds.  I have found this easy because I just took the middle and the end sounds.  My next step is to use chunking to sound out words I don't know when I read.

My Welcome Post 2019

Welcome to my Year 5 learning blog. This year I am in Room 24 and my teachers are Mrs Melville and Mrs Rayner. I enjoy soccer. A goal I  have this year is to try to get up to the next level in reading. I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lot of feedback.
